I know I haven’t posted in a long time and I apologise for that- the last week has been very full on for me and I could only get so much done x
Today I’ll be reviewing the 2018 Frankie ‘Daily Journal’ or diary.. whatever you want to call it. It’s been serving me well and I’m excited to share a bit about it with you!
Also, I hope you had a great Mothers Day’ on Sunday. Women uphold our society. If you’re female, you should be proud!
Super cute right? Very orange nonetheless, though!
I liked the stretchy strap feature on the cover, as well as the place ribbon. They’re simple, very handy and add a nice touch to the general aesthetic of the diary.
I did find that the cover is slightly stain prone, which may or may not be a problem for some people. I know it was for me, because I like my things to be very clean and perfectly neat.
On the next page, the pretty patterns that Frankie is known by starts- I quite like this particular design. It’s one of my favourites. There’s a small space where you can write your name and a phone number should the diary get lost. As you can see, I’ve got my name down, but no number yet, which I suppose is a good thing, because otherwise a lot of you would be able to contact me- not that that’s a bad thing 😂
After that, you’ve got a calendar for the current and upcoming year. I don’t think the old diaries had this feature, from other reviews I’ve looked at. Yay!
This is my current month’s spread- the main feature of the diary. On each page, you get a small box for each day to take notes in or just jot down a few things. I don’t struggle too much to fit things in, I guess. Heck, I don’t even really use this diary every day. I do suggest that busy people look to other diary options, or if you’re really set on this particular diary, make use of the notes section. Not always practical! Just something to think about.
Why yes, the Frankie diary does have enough surprises to make one feel quite pleased. From special doodling paper, fun little stickers, tiny pockets to store things in, a place to write down your best friend’s birthday. Whoop Whoop. This section definitely deserves a gold star.
And that’s about it!
While the diary isn’t perfect- who or what even is- I think it gets fairly close. I’ll definitely buy another journal next year, and hopefully a calendar too! I can already see my room looking like an even bigger Frankie sanctuary than it already is.
