recent artsy endeavours

hello lovelies!

I have a question for you: when was the last time you pursued something creative, if that’s something you enjoy?

I know it’s very much something I enjoy, in recent years, at least. I remember a time when I didn’t have any hobbies. And then, at some point, there were sports I was interested in, but nothing I really stuck to, except art. It really resonated with me.

Art is what I seek constantly.

Today, I want to share with you some of my recent artsy endeavours xx

I actually did this activity yesterday. It took me a while because it was hard cutting all the small pieces out so carefully, and then glueing them down as the surface was shiny, which made sticking everything down no walk in the park!

I ended up having to use tape before anything stopped falling out of place. Super frustrating, but lots of fun. Oh, and did I mention how the whole setup had nothing to weigh it down, so I had to place it in a corner of my bookshelf, just so it wouldn’t collapse in on itself. 😅

I think the colours in this are so gorgeous and vibrant though!

Before term two of this school year started, I ended the holidays with a trip to the main city art gallery with a good friend of mine. I’d been wanting to see her but couldn’t think of an activity that would be enjoyable, but different from the usual lunch / shopping / movies dates that I swear I do too often!

It turns out that she hadn’t been able to get out of the house too much, so this was something really enjoyable for her. We left early in the morning, arriving at the art gallery around 10 am, and staying for two or so hours.

We went around the whole place, taking so many photos. The art there is truly astounding. Afterwards, we went to the gallery shop and my friend bought a cute little enamel pin of a cat. I found a leopard pin that was also really cute! It was expensive though, so I let it go.

Afterwards, we went to lunch and for a walk around the city. It was amazing, because I saw a lot of places that were new to me!

For lunch, I had two pieces of feta and spinach gozleme and a gourmet salad with pasta, herbs, and a few other things! And then I got a brownie for dessert. Bit of a feast, haha.

Here are some photos I took:

And that’s all for today- I hope you enjoyed this post!
