For today’s blog post, I wanted to take you all on an updated room tour.
As most of you would know, I moved recently from a townhouse to an apartment. I love my new place. A real upgrade as it’s completely new and really fresh looking. My old bedroom was bigger but less cosy and had these horrible yellowy walls. This new room is completely white which serves as a great base for my minimal design. One thing I really like about my room design is the big window. The view is beautiful and makes me feel like I’m in a city apartment because of all the tall buildings and lights. It’s definitely a mood. The sunsets are beautiful from this angle too.
In my room, I’ve got my queen bed, mirror, desk, armchair and plant stand. These are all from Ikea, of course. It’s got to be my favourite shop because of the quality and how well the furniture fits my aesthetic. I’ve also got my chest of drawers which doubles as a dresser. From Urban outfitters, I’ve got my lilac linen pillowcases, cream cushion and pom pom/tassel rug. For decoration, I’ve got some pretty vases with dried reeds and lavender. I love adding these small touches because I think they really tie the room together and add a pretty whimsical touch. My posters are from Frankie magazine- I wanted to keep wall decorations fairly simple, so they’re unframed. I really like how it turned out! On the wall opposite my bed is my macrame tapestry. It’s a natural colour and has cute geometric boho kind of details. I’ve also tucked in some dried flowers at the top. Across my room, I’ve got crystals too. Amethyst, rose quartz and a few others for all those good magical vibes. I’ve also got geodes in a pretty deep purple which I keep on my desk. The last decorative item I’ve got is a gold framed botanical print in the most gorgeous mustard shade. It makes me happy every time I see it!
