Once every so often, I like to compile a post just answering all the questions you’ve asked. You get to see some different content, find out more about me and I don’t have to think too much!
What is your favourite season?
I absolutely adore autumn. Not only is it cosy, the perfect weather and bring on the candle and cosy knits time, but it’s symbolic. What appears to be an end is really only the seasons changing, the old being replaced by the new. You can’t tell me that’s not magic!
Do you play a musical instrument?
No, I don’t play a music instrument. It’s never really been one of my interests, even though I explored music a bit when I was younger. I’ve tried piano and the recorder (haven’t we all, lol!)
I do enjoy a bit of singing though. Karaoke is fun!
Favourite book you’ve read this year?
I’ll admit, I haven’t read a whole lot lately. I used to be the biggest bookworm and while I still enjoy curling up with a good book, I’ve shifted to writing more. I do love reading and miss it, so I find time to pick up a magazine and read some of that. My favourites are Frankie and Teen Breathe, because they’re just so feel good and inspire me to be my creative, most authentic self. A series I did find really interesting was the Peculiar Children books. Ever since the movie Ms Peregrine’s home for peculiar children came out in 2016, I got really into it. It’s not my usual sort of read but I found it captivating nonetheless. Branching out is always a good idea because you never know what you’ll find.
What songs have you been listening to recently?
My music taste in mixed, but lately I’ve found some amazing artists. Music is such an immersive experience. Truly incredible how evocative it can be.
Some of my favourites are:
Lewis Watson- Bones, In the Wild.
Lauren Daigle- You say, First.
The Cranberries- Linger.
Gabrielle Aplan- Salvation.
Peach Pit- Peach Pit.
Favourite place you’ve travelled?
Definitely England, because it was my first overseas trip. It was truly an experience I have no words for. It was extra special because I took it solo- my parents and brother stayed in Australia while I travelled. I stayed with family and lived as they did. It was like being little again because I was amazed by the little things and just so curious. I remember my aunty making these amazing banana pancakes and my cousins and I sitting around the table, eating them. I remember walking down the streets in a big fluffy coat, picking up my cousins from school. I remember meeting new friends, family.
What are your favourite blog posts to make?
My favourite blog posts to make are less about niche, less about category and more about how the words flow, how easily they come to me, when I write. There’s nothing more enjoyable, more beautiful, then writing from the heart and feeling endlessly inspired. Sometimes I’m surprised by this. Posts I expected to breeze through took me a while and others I thought I’d write just like that, took me forever and a day. If I had to choose though, I’d say I really enjoy writing from a feminist standpoint and about issues that concern the world, like justice.
Biggest style inspos?
I don’t have any particular style inspirations, but I am so drawn to minimalist, neutral outfits. I like clean lines, classic prints, pretty florals, polka dots. Think timeless styles. For me, there’s nothing more satisfying. I really should follow more fashion and style bloggers though..
Thoughts on the (stupid) new abortion law in Alabama?
Oh, I have very strong opinions on this. In fact, I’ve written a whole blog post on it a while back, which I encourage you to check out!
what are your biggest goals? -materialistic and non materialistic x
My biggest goal used to be to get back on track. Events from last year threw me off track completely, but I now realise that was because I was headed the wrong way. One of the best things that came out of my struggle was the realisation that many of the things I thought important (good grades and well, unattainable perfection) really don’t matter. At this point, my biggest goal is to continue growing through what I go through and seeking happiness, even when I think there’s none to be found. I want to eliminate worries and stress and overthinking and just calm down.
Other than that, I really want to go to America. I won’t go too much into this but there’s a special someone I’m really wanting to meet, so that’s on my mind a lot. My other goal is to continue making progress on my long term life plan. What I’ve wanted to do- go to TAFE, travel, start an interior design business- hasn’t changed for years now, so I know I’m set on that and truly committed to making it happen.
At this point in time, I don’t really have materialistic goals. I guess it comes down to my minimalist philosophy.. things are nice to have but there’s nothing I’m seeking at the moment or am particularly drawn to.
Loved this question! 🙂
Do you have a specific routine that you do on a daily basis for your blog/to stay creative?
Oh, these will be fun to answer!
I don’t have too many blog specific routines other than my posting schedule. Since becoming more aware of myself and what I enjoy, I’ve found inspiration in unexpected places and more often than ever before. There’s a real sense of clarity present now. I take inspiration from my own experiences, memories, thoughts. Anything that strikes me as profound or worth sharing. Anything I can tell a story with. Of course I take inspiration from others too. I love reading people’s blogs and supporting my wonderful friends with their creative pursuits! It’s a win win. Usually if I’m really feeling in a rut as to what to write about, that’ll help me. I also turn to Pinterest for visual inspiration. Sometimes you can build a whole post if you come across an image that speaks to you!
To stay creative, I make sure to live on the lighter side of life. To make time for fun, self care and laughter. I try to notice little things, note down interesting thoughts, read, flick through pretty magazine pages. Being creative and staying inspired is an experience in itself 😊
Do you have any regrets about your blog or instagram?
I’m very happy to be able to say that I have no regrets about my blog or Instagram! At this point in time I feel that my content reflects me perfectly and really brings me joy, which is everything I believe in. I’m struggling a little with audience engagement at the moment but I’ve come a long way and I’m confident that my time will come. I’m absolutely grateful for what I already have.
What is something that makes you feel motivated and fresh for the day?
I love to start the day off organised, with a plan for how I’ll spend my time. I enjoy a clean, bright space filled with my favourite things. I like a small cup of coffee in bed too. It helps me wake up and gets me in the mood to tackle whatever I need to get done. I always feel fresher and less foggy mentally afterwards. I also wash my face with cool water, do a simple makeup routine, get dressed and accessorise.

I’m not really interested in a job, per se. I’m more focused on building a small business- interior design is what I’ll be going for!
I don’t particularly want to make it big or become well known. I just want to pursue a passion and make beautiful things.
Dream travel destination?
I’ve got a few places I’d love to go. I’ve really caught the travel bug off late. I just always want to be on the move, experiencing new things and really learning. I don’t think school teaches you anything compared to what you gain from real world experiences!
I’d of course love to go to America, France, then Santorini, Greece and finally, Malta. It’s where I’m from and I just find European countries so beautiful, what with their rich history and amazing architecture.
My favourite brands aren’t your typical stores, but I like them nonetheless.
Seed heritage, Branche, Merri the Label and Golden Eve Wear.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years, I see myself still on a journey, but so much closer to where I eventually hope to be.. or in an even better place.
In ten years, I’ll be twenty five. I see myself living abroad, with a partner and maybe even my own family by then. I see a successful business and lots of opportunities for travel. I see myself still blogging, but this page having grown with me. I see further opportunities to work with more brands, bigger and diverse in nature. Maybe I’ll even be an influencer at some point. From what work I’ve done with brands already, I know it’s something I enjoy.
Ultimately, I don’t know where life will take me, but it’s a prospect I’m excited for.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I’d say my fashion style is clean, minimal and chic. At the moment I absolutely adore dainty floral prints and warm colours, but also believe you can never go wrong with a good neutral! Lacy numbers are a favourite of mine too.
What are your favourite hobbies?
Easy! I’m a passionate writer, both on here and in my notebooks, where I like to scribble down poetry as it comes to me. I enjoy photography, collaging and various aspects of design as well as reading and baking.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be and why?
If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, I’d let her know that even though the unknowns of life can be terrifying and too much to handle, better and beautiful things bloom often, especially when we’re not looking.
I’d let her know that love is just around the corner, as is greatness. She need not want for more.
Who and what inspires you?
I’m inspired by anybody and everybody taking the necessary steps to their own betterment. I’m inspired by courage and kindness and vulnerability. I’m inspired by those who show up, always, because they know it’s the only thing that’s matters. I’m inspired by loving flaws more than I do the illusion of beauty. I’m inspired by hard work and smart work. I’m inspired by a lot.
What are your zodiac signs (sun, moon and rising) and do you believe they reflect/resemble who you are?
Very interesting question!
I’m an archer, born december 2nd, 2003. Here’s a quick description of the zodiac signs, in case you don’t already know- Your Sun sign describes the centre of your personality, what motivates and drives you, and who you are learning to become. Your Moon sign describes your instinctive and emotional nature. Finally, your Sun sign describes qualities you are learning to develop and become. Moon describes who you already are and rising shows the way you project yourself, how others see you and the kind of experiences needed to make your life meaningful.
Archers are highly spiritual and often delve deeper into the meaning behind what others may see only as everyday experiences. They search for hidden synchronicities and see everything that happens as a part of large, connected whole. They are thoughtful and in tune with their senses and emotions. Archers are fiery, passionate and have a drive for success and adventure, but also remain introverted and philosophical in ways. Life becomes a pilgrimage of sorts where the holy grail is personal truths.
I’d say that this all describes me to a tee- I’m constantly surprised by how accurate horoscopes in general are! If this interests you, download the app co-star for more personalised information.
