A fun skincare, clothing and bookish haul

Hello lovelies!

Every now and then I love to post a haul or two. Come the end of the year, I’ll review what I’ve got and pick up anything I’m running low on or have been eyeing for a while.

I never feel guilty doing so and always enjoy these little shops because I know I’m not overdoing it or spending without a second thought.

Today’s haul is skincare, clothing, books and organisation related. Most of the pictures are mine except for the last four, which belong to the respective brands xx

Organisation- 2020 Frankie calendar and diary

I’ve been an avid fan of this beautiful calendar and diary set for a few years now. The paper quality is absolutely beautiful and the illustrations are quirky and unique. It’s a simple way I like to inject joy into my daily life. Paper products aren’t for everybody nowadays with technology having infiltrated most aspects of our lives, but I enjoy having something tangible as opposed to everything being online. Now, for a little sneak peek..

This daily journal was made in collaboration with Australian indigenous artists and features their stunning work with a modern twist. Such pretty colours too! In every edition, there are sections for daily writing, note taking pages, doodling spots, stickers and more.

Reading material- Breathe magazine & Spaces by Frankie magazine

It used to be that I could never be found without a book or something to read, but now I tend to immerse myself in my own world instead of those of others. I am so passionate about writing but I wanted to get back to my roots, so to speak and enjoy reading. I was in the loveliest inner city area the other day and found a newsagency. I love these stores because they always stock a wide range of magazines and other little tidbits. I ended up finding what I wanted and more!

I first got a copy of the breathe magazine. For a while I read Teen Breathe but found the content to be fairly unsuited to me.. it didn’t feel fresh, nor did it resonate! I wanted something that would prove a real page turner.

That’s the main reason why I went for something new and bought a copy of spaces, another Frankie magazine publication. Interior design is a career I fully intend to pursue, so I love getting little bits of inspiration!

How dreamy are all these homes?

Skincare- Breath of Fresh air toner water & Grease Lightning spot treatment

While sometimes on the more expensive side, I buy a lot of my skincare products from Lush. They can’t be beaten for their quality and I love what the company stands for! Cruelty free and environmentally friendly definitely ticks my boxes. They have the most beautiful range of skincare, cosmetics, bath bombs and perfumes. This sea salt toner water and spot treatment are two of my favourites and a part of my usual routine. Usually they’ll last me a good six months or so before I repurchase. The toner water is great for cleansing or for taking off light makeup. The spot treatment is helpful if you get the occasional pimple here and there but I’d recommend something more effective for problem skin. I’ve been lucky enough to fall into the former category, never having to worry too much about my skin.

Branche shirts- California dreaming and monogram tee

I even did a little clothes shopping! My wardrobe was lacking a lot of the basics that most people have. I had bought nice blouses and dresses, but sometimes you just want to dress casual. I don’t know about you, but I don’t always have two hours to spend on planning an outfit!

The key to making anything you wear look stylish is to go for quality. Before purchasing these shirts, I’d bought a faux fur and denim jacket from Branche. I was so impressed with the quality and make that I just had to go back. I’m normally one to just wear neutrals, but I thought the classic stripe was lovely. I of course got a monogrammed M for Maryam. The other shirt is going going to look so cute with faded jeans and white sneakers! I’ve got a whole vision for it.

I’d also like to mention that sizes range from XS to XL- being inclusive of all body sizes and shapes is so important nowadays. We all deserve to be celebrated! Can’t recommend enough.

Miyako Official- Bella corset and Claudia brief

Something a little different for me! I decided to spend a bit more and picked up this pretty lacy set from label Miyako official. They are currently selling lingerie and loungewear from their first collection. It’s all dreamy and delicate and in the most beautiful pastel hues! Think creamy whites and baby pink.

It’s so nice to know that I can support somebody else and their labour of love. With small labels and makers, every purchase counts and is meaningful. Many times you’ll even get handwritten thank you notes! It’s very sweet.
