As you may know, I am in partnership with the kindhearted and dedicated team behind DiveThru, an app providing prompts that take you through guided journaling sessions. I can say without a doubt that DiveThru has been absolutely instrumental in transforming my everyday mental wellness practice into something more intentional. I’m no longer just checking in, skimming the surface of what I already know, but deep diving and getting to the root of the struggles I face.
The Dive Thru app is designed to calm and instil in you a sense of quiet strength and resolve. Visually it is a treat for the senses- warm, gentle colours such as purple, yellow and green are proven to soothe and have a positive effect on your mood. They symbolise hope and healing whilst bringing about joy and inspiration. The science of this is that your brain, at a subconscious level, associates different colours with certain moods and experiences. Colours are known to evoke memories as well. The layout of the DiveThru app is simple and effective with little distractions and easy navigation. Being a minimalist has opened my eyes to the beauty of simplicity.
The individual dives are tailored to suit you, meaning the sessions have less of a broad focus. I truly believe that time spent bettering yourself is an investment leading up to a highly fulfilling return. The DiveThru app is created in such a way that you feel you are being spoken to individually, not spoken at or given generic information. I left each session knowing I am supported, seen and heard, as is my unique story.
Through a range of techniques and mediums I was reminded to unplug, invite deeper thought and decompress. I have taken pen to paper more often too, which is always a treat. We are moving onto a predominantly digital world, but balance is key. The dialogue surrounding mental wellness is slowly and surely opening up- DiveThru play a fundamental role in that. As people we are incredibly resilient and even more so when we stand together, lifting each other up.
You can rest assured knowing that everything found within the app is made by mental health professionals who, alongside the team, want to help you DiveThru what you go thru.
