Hello Lovelies!
Welcome to this week’s encouragement. If you receive no other sign today, may these words speak to your heart and remind you of all the beautiful potential contained within you. We have been made as profound beings capable of living, speaking, breathing, doing, creating and loving from the very beginning. This week, do your creator justice and speak to the world with your masterpieces. Choose to return all the blessings bestowed upon you tenfold.
Happy Monday beautiful friends! It never fails to amaze me how quickly the days come upon us and then roll over to become new. What miracles we become witness to over our lifetime.
It is currently Sunday night and I write to you from the comfort of my warm car- I’m on the way back home, alternating between documenting my weekend and sneaking peeks at the lights of nearby cities. The weather outside does not resemble spring in any way, shape or form. After a few long months of winter, my least favourite season, I can’t say I’m here for the lack of change. I wouldn’t mind Winter as much if we experienced snow in Sydney but to no avail.
This weekend was spent up in the Blue Mountains at my grandma’s place. Her home is an absolute haven of antiques- hidden gems tucked away in corners everywhere. I spy new additions to the many rooms each time I visit. Her house is multi level and perfect for exploring or playing hide and seek in. I live in an apartment in Parramatta so am not used to having so much space to roam about. It was certainly a busy couple of days but we enjoyed our time together. We emptied cupboards ready for my grandma to sell, watched movies in bed, drank many cappuccinos and walked about the backyard. Beautiful stained glass doors printed with Australian native Flora and Fauna open onto the outdoor space from the living room. Light floods in and creates shadows on the wall. When you step outside you see Lemon trees, Magnolia’s in their beginning stages of growth, Irises in deep purple and sunny yellow, roses waiting to be planted and more. A well kept backyard is such a joy. I can’t wait for grandma and I to sit out there with our tea and croissants, feeling the early morning light warming our backs.
We spent today visiting Leura and exploring its shop lined streets. The area has an array of stores, many of which are clothing and homeware boutiques. I bought a couple of sets of new pyjamas from Papinelle, which is my go to for ethically made clothing. I particularly love supporting female owned and run brands. Their collections of prints are absolutely dreamy and they have the daintiest, prettiest florals. After this, grandma and I headed to a local Chinese restaurant and sat in for lunch. We had Chicken and Pineapple fried rice as well as Beef with black bean sauce. It was an unhurried, tasty meal. We savoured in these slow moments then headed off home.
I’m grateful for a few days of recuperation as the week ahead of me will be relentlessly tiring. I have many parcels of depop purchases that need to be shipped, assignments due soon and blog/instagram content to keep up with. Another holiday is well overdue!
What are your goals for this week to come? How did you spend your weekend? I’d love to hear from you!

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m reading blogs in the early morning, but it feels like I see your words from fresh eyes today.

I really enjoy your writing too. I go through my reader each morning and spend a good half hour consuming wholesome content. I noticed you’d put up a new post earlier on but wanted to savour it when I had a quiet moment later on. I’d say that time is now!
Your writing is captivating and encompasses so many aspects of the topics you choose to share on. I always have many different avenues to pursue when forming a comment and love that it encourages deeper thought for me.
