Hello Lovelies!
Today’s post has been a while in the making but I’m so excited to share some of my recent finds with you. Since writing this post, we have come out of Winter in Sydney and are now smack bang in Spring. The weather will always be unpredictable though and I wanted to stock up on some basics for chillier days. I stuck to a pretty clean colour palette with my purchases so they’d be versatile and easy to pair. Plenty of neutrals with pops of colour here and there! So dreamy.
Originally I’d planned to share the mini lookbook through photos but decided to switch things up and go for video instead! If you’re part of my Instagram community, you might notice these are from my story highlights, haha. It can be so difficult to match clothing and come up with outfits you truly feel yourself in- If I particularly like what I’m wearing on a day I’ll quickly document it for later reference.
Wearing the Kookai Denmark Coat, Forever New Lace Cami and Seed Heritage Skinny Jeans
Wearing the Kookai Light Capri Sweatshirt in Mint Green, Riders Mom Jeans, Seed Heritage White Sneakers and Plume Clothing Floral Scrunchie
Wearing the Kookai Cruiser Tee in White, Seed Heritage Two Tone Denim Skirt and Status Anxiety Handbag in Nude
Kookai Cruiser Crew Tees in White and Grey Marle
These beautiful classic tees will never go out of fashion. They are perfectly fitted, have a beautiful silhouette, accentuate my shape nicely and serve as incredible transitional pieces as we move to warmer weather in Sydney. I purchased these tops back in the winter season and they were just right for layering under a coat or jumper. As it is now summer, I wear them alone with a nice pair of jeans or culottes!
The tees are made from high quality Pima cotton and retain their form wear after wear. Kookai is my absolute go to store for basics as they are affordable and chic. I love that I’m able to pull on one of these tees and instantly feel polished and ready to tackle the day. The crew neck style is superbly comfy and means I can showcase a pretty necklace. Mejuri’s best selling Satellite Necklace is a firm favourite!
Kookai Lola Crew Top in Beige
Yes, there’s no doubt about it. I adore a neutral wardrobe palette! The soft colours set me at ease and serve as a blank canvas for all the outfits I could potentially create. When I saw the Lola Crew Top, I knew it’d make the classiest addition to my wardrobe during cooler months. This long sleeve piece is crafted from a knitted viscose blend and effortlessly elevates an outfit. Once again, it has a versatile crew neck style allowing me to wear a jewellery piece or two. In this case, a chunkier medallion necklace provides just the right amount of bling whilst still remaining understated. The top is quite fitted without being restrictive and has the right amount of give. A necessity if you’re looking to enjoy a meal at any point!
Rock N Rose Etta Twisted Hoop Earrings + Hilda Simple Hoop Earrings
Rock N Rose are a sweet boutique brand based in the UK. They have a gorgeous selection of jewellery, headpieces, accessories and even a range of bags. To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement. Their collections are beautifully curated and certainly speak to my love of minimalist style. However, I’m equally a fan of their brighter and bolder statement pieces!
Their brand is also unique in that they sell one off, vintage jewellery items. These are always in tip top condition and have real character to them! Supporting a small business is just one way to share the love. I’ll always favour the little guys over big, corporate, mass produced brands. Anyhow, that’s no way to stand out style wise! I never want to be found wearing the same thing as someone else. The earrings are lightweight and quite sturdy and durable for their price point. They are crafted from brass and plated with gold vermeil, featuring a latch back closure.
As a younger teen I enjoyed wearing big gold hoops but now prefer a more subtle appearance. These pairs of earrings are on constant rotation and fit in well with both my casual and dressier outfits. They even work as a staple earring for school.
Iryna Skin Apricot Moisture Creme, Coconut and Matcha Cleansing Mousse, Rose Antioxidant Elixir and Lotus Flower Glow Skin Mist + Rock N Rose Eleanor Scarf
Featured below is the Iryna Skin bundle the lovely ladies at Nutrimetics put together for me as part of a collaboration! While I received these products in compensation for promotion, I was under no obligation to share here on my blog. All opinions expressed here accurately represent my thoughts on the products. If you’re interested in updating your skincare drawer or discovering a new brand, Iryna is your best friend.
Everything smells absolutely heavenly and is so nourishing. Iryna, translating to Peace, is Nutrimetics little sister brand. They stand for minimal, uncomplicated routines that help you look and feel your best. Their skincare range is designed and produced locally in Melbourne and Sydney. Homegrown beauty is my favourite to support! They are also vegan and cruelty free, gaining ticks of approval from PETA and all gals and guys who believe in clean beauty. The range is affordable and long lasting bringing you healthier skin and a beautiful glow for less!
As a side note, how gorgeous is this Vintage Rose Scarf from Rock N Rose? This was my latest purchase from them and I cannot wait to find ways to style it. Perhaps I can tie it to my handbag, fancy a top out of it or wear the scarf as a bandanna. It comes in a larger size than most scarves and has even been used a luxe gift wrap before. Just a matter of getting creative!
Frank Body Coconut Coffee Scrub
Don’t even get me started on how much I adore Frank Body! I’ve been using their body scrubs, coffee exfoliator and charcoal cleanser for years now with outstanding results each time. They are one of the most affordable brands out there, one of the many reasons I keep coming back without fail. They are the brand I recommend to friends or anybody struggling with problem skin. They get results and I’ve seen it first hand!
I have quite prominent stretch marks on my thighs and hips, my main reason for trying out this scrub. Frank Body have a variety of different ones to pick from that target problems the like of body acne, cellulite and more. I’m not overly bothered by physical appearance but figure it can’t hurt to try and fade the marks whilst giving my skin a boost!
Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask + Australian Native Berries Moisturiser
Can confirm, the moisturiser and mask are an absolute dream duo. Also, how pretty is this packaging? The entire Alya Skin range is vegan and cruelty free, designed to detoxify and give your skin a youthful glow without all the added nasties. After application, my skin felt soft and rejuvenated- I have high hopes for the rest of the products! Skin so good you don’t need makeup? Totally achievable. The entire Alya Skin range is now available at Priceline Pharmacies. Go find your nearest store!
Alya Skin started off as Australian brand and has now expanded to include those in the United States and United Kingdom, which is exciting! When it comes to these products, a little goes a long way and I’m confident I won’t need to repurchase for a good while. I was gifted the mask however the moisturiser was paid for entirely by me. I was highly impressed by my experience with Alya so far and the many raving reviews left me confident I’d be investing a real treat for my skin!
The moisturiser isn’t thin or watery and applies as a nice hydrating layer. I used to be quite fearful of moisturisers as I thought they’d make my skin oil or cause breakouts but that wasn’t the case. In fact, my face looked brighter and more balanced after consistent use. The mask is thick and creamy, easiest to apply with a makeup brush. I’d highly recommend this as less product is wasted along the way!
All those are so pretty!! I would definitely wear those! So cute!
Thank you so much Ainsley! I definitely agree x
In love with the photos you’ve used 😍 and yay for the Alya mask! 🤩 great post x
Thank you Chels! Yup, a firm favourite of mine (and yours!)
I love clothes and skincare! Its always fun trying out new products! 💖
I love these outfits! They’re quite different from my personal style (which is a bit all over the place), but I love how elegant and peaceful they look!
Thank you so much for reading Arshia! I hope this post inspired you. Your style sounds vibrant and interesting! 🙂
Lovely post and cute outfits!!! I’m into more bright, vibrant colors usually, but I did love your lighter, neutral colored clothes, in this post!
Have you tried wearing much linen? I just love linen….So comfortable, healthy for your body and it has such a great boho-look to it, which I love. 🙂 <3
Oh, that’s wonderful to hear! Glad you enjoyed the post Keziah. I totally get you- we all have different personal styles and that’s part of what makes fashion so much fun to explore. Having that diversity means everything. I have indeed tried wearing linen. I have a few beautiful pieces- a dress and jumpsuit- in the fabric. Absolutely gorgeous! What’s better yet again is that linen adjusts to your body temperature and surrounds so as not to overheat you or cool you down too much. My bedding is actually made entirely of French linen and I’ve had the best sleep since making the switch! I suggest you try it too 🙂
Oh that sounds wonderful!! I may have to look into getting linen for my bed… I do seem to have a bit of trouble sleeping at night and have tried to work on that, so I’ll definitely look into this.
Where did you get your French linen beddings?
Oh, if that’s the case, I’m sure you’ll experience much better sleep after trying linen bedding. I shop from i love linen. They are on the more expensive side but the quality is premium and the bedding long lasting!
Okay, thanks so much!! I appreciate it. ☺
I love the outfits, Maryam! And those jewelry pieces are gorgeous, I’m obsessed with the earrings! 😍
Thank you so much Francine! They are indeed gorgeous 😍 the prettiest colour palette in my opinion!
