Hello Lovelies!
This week has been all about embracing a slower pace of living. I find myself acting with deeper intention and really leaning into the Spirit. I take comfort in the knowledge that there is more to life than what I can see, that there is more to me. Each day I begin again and continue working to breathe existence into the person I hope to be. Much of the worries that plagued me last week have been dispelled from my mind and for this I am grateful.
The start of this week marked the recommencement of my Law Of Attraction Journey, a philosophy that is neither iffy or foreign to me and has brought about great and substantial change to my life when applied properly. I was on holiday in Melbourne, staying with family at their home. Being in a space that wasn’t my own for a week had forced me to get creative with how I spent my time. My phone was lost, meaning I couldn’t spend hours on useless pursuits. What had seemed like a curse was actually a blessing in disguise and my motivator to get really clear about what I wanted more and less of in my life. Ultimately, what I was looking for was a glow up- externally is one matter but internally is another completely. There are no shortcuts to doing the inner work. That is what will ultimately heal and transform your life. In case you are unfamiliar with the Law of Attraction, this is a summary. In simple terms, the Law of Attraction is the belief that one can manifest more of what they are giving out to the Universe. By getting very clear about what they hope to attract, one will begin to live and be at a certain positive frequency and that will start a domino affect. More of the same energy will be concentrated on that individual and their endeavours.
I began my Law of Attraction work in early 2019. I began to reflect on the past year and think about my goals for the time upcoming. I decided to start writing in my new journal and detailed my plans and aspirations for the next twelve months. I made sure to be as specific as possible and talk about any and every aspect of my life that I wanted to see growth with. I banished any thoughts about what was and wasn’t realistic to aim for as I felt that thinking would only trap and box my aspirations. I talked about health, relationships, my blog and instagram, my living situation and more. Within a month of putting pen to paper I’d seen enormous shifts in my reality- I moved from an old townhouse to an apartment so new they’d just finished building it. I started a new school and fostered plenty of strong friendships. I met my partner who I’ve been with for almost two years. Around this time, I also saw significant blog growth and started to get noticed by brands. I became an ambassador for a scrunchie business run by two lovely girls and soon moved on to bigger collaborations with big names like Caseapp and PocketPrints.
As of tomorrow I am on term break which is a truly lovely feeling! I don’t have any set plans for the next few weeks and just want to take things day by day. Getting plenty of rest, eating good food, getting into the rhythm of exercising and taking many day trips are certainly on the agenda. Yesterday, my dad, brother and I spent the afternoon heading citywards and then stopped off at Huntley’s Point, a bridge area overlooking a boat wharf. We had the most beautiful view of incoming ferries and discovered many vantage points at the location. I guess you’d call this little spot a hidden gem. It was a colder day, a bit chilly and windy, so I’m glad I dressed casually. Afterwards, we headed to Burwood and had Chinese- we ordered beef and chive dumplings, a handmade noodle dish with lamb and meat skewers. It was a lovely place with such nice ambience. The food was filling, tasty and you could tell it was genuinely good for you. I also tried the broth that came with our meal as it has collagen it in, which gives your skin a youthful and elastic appearance. What have you gotten up to so far and what are you looking forward to this week?
Lovely post! And it sounds like you have been staying quite busy. Good for you!
Yesterday, I went to a park and danced with friends. Which was quite amazing. And this next week, I shall be doing school, having tea with a friend, helping teach at our homeschool co-op and participating there and then later in the week, helping my neighbors with their house. So, a good, full week. ☺
Indeed I have! Your days sound just wonderful. The right amount of bustling and busy but also relaxing!
It’s lovely that you’re doing some volunteer work and just helping out where you can. Always good to give back, even in small ways!
Have a beautiful week ahead Keziah xx
Yes, indeed!
Thank you! You have a lovely week as well. ❤
Have a Wonderful week ahead xx❤️
Thanks sweet girl! Back at you. Have the best week x
Losing our phones sometimes feels like a curse indeed, but like you said it really is a blessing is disguise! Glad you had fun, and have a nice relaxing week ahead!
Also – I love the inspiration, as always! The first quote is awesome. xx
That’s wonderful to hear, thank you Wardah! Wishing you the same- have a beautiful week ahead. I reckon a lot of us have codependant relationships with our phones and devices.. it’s a way to keep up to date and always be in the know with a simple click of a button. It can be hard to think about how people got by before technology evolved so significantly, haha!
What are your plans this week? (:
True! It’s so easy to stay updated, we were bound to be addicted at some point 😅 but unplugging is just needed sometimes!
I don’t have extensive plans or anything lol. Just working on (virtual) school, and calling some friends I haven’t talked to in a while. And possibly making Bundt cake over the weekend 🙂 Thank you so much for asking! What about you?
