Hello Daisy! Thank you for agreeing to this interview. First off, can you tell us about you, your blog and YouTube channel? How did you get started and what are your passions?
Of course- I’m a fifteen year old content creator based in the United Kingdom. I started my Instagram account in January of twenty nineteen and initially shared inspiring quotes on there. In a years time I’d amassed around a thousand followers! I then got into photography and extended to sharing my own photos on this account alongside the quotes. Then, in March of twenty twenty, I received my very first brand collaboration which was a really significant thing for me. I was absolutely over the moon to have been given this opportunity. That really boosted my confidence and in June of twenty twenty, I finally did a face reveal.
I feel that my account has really grown with me throughout these past couple of years and I believe it will continue to do so as I mature & change in the future. I love that my followers can be on this journey with me and present to see my development as I move forwards. I began my blog in August of twenty nineteen as writing has always been something that I’m passionate about, literally for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fairly certain that I’d like to pursue a career in journalism when I’m older but it just seemed like something that was too far out of my reach. For a while it was a mere dream that didn’t feel very realistic.
However, when I joined Instagram, I was immediately surrounded by this community of bloggers and other girls like me who were pursuing their passion for writing through these websites and blogs that they’d created themselves. In that moment I thought to myself ‘I can do that too!’ and went on to complete lots of research. Weeks on end were spent looking into how I could go about starting a blog of my own, watching many many YouTube videos filled with tips for beginner bloggers. It was such an exciting time period and I remember feeling so distinctly that I was finally on the path towards one of my biggest goals. I believe wholeheartedly that starting this page in my own little corner of the internet, where I can share my thoughts, feelings, experiences, advice and everything that crosses my mind, is one of the best decisions I ever made.
My YouTube Channel was set up at the end of June twenty twenty, just after my face reveal. It was something I’d always wanted to do but hadn’t ticked off yet. This seemed like a great time to make the plunge as I’d just revealed my identity over on Instagram. I had lots of free time on my hands due to quarantine which could be filled up with creating videos. I have always had a love for performing and I’m naturally a very chatty person as well. Setting up a YouTube channel where I could just speak to a camera twenty four seven seemed like a perfect idea and one that would spark joy. My favourite thing about content creating is the community that it allows you to be a part of- I have met some of my best friends purely through doing what I love & these girls encourage me to be the best version of myself every single day. I have also been able to establish a true sense of self as I am constantly surrounded by like-minded people who inspire me all the time! I am so grateful for each and every person who follows & supports me!
What is your philosophy on life and why?
I have many important philosophies on life and if I was to list them all, it would be endless and we’d be here forever! One that I think about constantly and refer to regularly however is from a book I read called ‘The Light in the Heart’ by Roy T. Bennett. He made a list of things he feels we should all do in order to live the best lives that we possibly can. I remember learning his words by heart when I first came across them. Here is what he said:
“Don’t just learn, experience. Don’t just read, absorb. Don’t just change, transform. Don’t just relate, advocate. Don’t just promise, prove. Don’t just criticise, encourage. Don’t just think, ponder. Don’t just take, give. Don’t just see, feel. Don’t just dream, do. Don’t just hear, listen. Don’t just talk, act. Don’t just tell, show. Don’t just exist, live.”
I believe this is so crucial to remember and I strive to live by his words. I especially resonate with the section at the end that reads ‘Don’t just exist, live’ because I am a firm believer that we should constantly strive to better ourselves and live as the highest self that we possibly can. Life is a gift and we must honour it by waking up each morning, keeping these life lessons at the very forefront of our mind.
I don’t want to look back on my life in sixty years and think ‘why didn’t I do this?’ or ‘I could have done this- I want to revisit times in my life and be able to say in all honesty ‘Wow Daisy, I’m so proud of everything you achieved. You really did make the most of every day.’ I want to look back on all of the memories I have made throughout my life. I want to have lived out my dreams and not settled for anything less.
I believe that nowadays too many people sacrifice their own mental health and time to please others, make oodles of money or fit into society when that was never our purpose in the first place. We should truly be living life to the fullest and enjoying every single aspect of it. Experiencing it, loving it, never ever taking it for granted. Life is too short to worry about what other people think of us. It’s too short to complain, to have regrets, to wait around or settle for the bare minimum. So many people just exist but life is such a privilege- why not live it and dare to do more, be more? Make it your mission to cultivate the best life that you can for yourself. You are so blessed! Go out there, talk to random strangers, love yourself, run through a forest barefoot, sing your favourite songs at the top of your voice, be spontaneous, lay down and watch the stars, buy flowers for yourself, dance in the rain, climb a tree, smile at everyone as they walk past you. Make your life the best story in the world. Live it and leave no regrets.
Where do you live and what is the best thing about your hometown?
I live in Manchester which is in the North West of England. I am surrounded by the most gorgeous countryside walks and beautiful scenery which I’m sure you’ve seen on my Instagram page. I live in a more rural part of the city so the views are stunning and there is bountiful wildlife here too! I love that you only have to drive ten minutes down the road to get to the buzzing city centre which is filled with bustling crowds, bright lights and buildings reaching up into the sky. We have the best of both worlds here which I’m so grateful for!
How did you become interested in the Law Of Attraction and what routines have you implemented in your day to day as a result of this?
I don’t exactly remember when I first became interested in it! Although, I remember Youtuber Sadie Aldis talking about it quite a bit for a while there. Naturally I became curious and started doing some bits of research on the topic. I don’t think there was ever a light bulb moment where I went “I believe in this!” but as I learnt more and more, I became increasingly attentive and engrossed in the concept, convinced that it was something I’d want to explore in more depth. A year down the line, it has completely changed my life for the better. There are lots of habits and rituals that I have implemented into my day to day life as a result of my Law Of Attraction beliefs!
I repeat affirmations every morning when I first wake up and every night before I go to sleep as this really helps to boost my motivation and confidence. I focus on my goals and visualise myself living them out each day too. Imagining the life I am working towards and picturing it in detail and full colour as my mind works like a magnet is what propels me forward. This is by far one of the most powerful ways that you can draw things into your life. I also practice gratitude daily to express how appreciative I am for everything I currently have and to make room for more positive opportunities to enter my life. I meditate each day and carry out various methods of manifestation as well!
A major way that the Law of Attraction has impacted me is that I find myself constantly trying to spread positive energy into the universe. This has seen me shift into a much more optimistic person! For anyone who is interested in learning more about the Law of Attraction, I would recommend that you watch The Secret! It’s a documentary that can be found on Netflix and I honestly cannot recommend it enough. It will teach you everything you need to know about the Law of Attraction!
What does the dream life that you’ve been manifesting and working towards look like? How has this ideal changed over time for you?
The dream life that I am working towards is one where I am the best version of myself. I am fully at peace with my mind, body and soul. I am connected to the endless abundance of the universe. I am in alignment with my purpose. I attract positivity. I absolutely adore my life. I would be studying Journalism at University and then move on to spend some time travelling and living in a few different places. Travelling is one of my favourite activities to do and I can’t wait to explore more of the world. I would then like to settle down and pursue a career in Investigative Journalism! This ideal has changed a lot for me over time- I have gone through phases of wanting to be a lawyer, a dancer on cruise ships, a teacher- you name it! At this point though I am quite settled on the idea of Journalism. I am so incredibly excited for the future and all of the wonderful things destined to come my way. It’s amazing to think that some of the best moments of our lives haven’t even happened yet!
What’s your Star Sign and do you believe you’re accurately reflected in the traits that go along with it? If so, share some examples!
Oh, I’m so passionate about Star Signs! My birthday is on the twenty fifth of June so my Star Sign is Cancer. I think I am completely accurately reflected in the traits that go along with this sign. I believe my zodiac makes up a significant component of who I am as a person. Every time I see zodiac memes on Instagram or Pinterest for Cancers, I relate to them so much and on a whole new level.
Cancers are primarily known for being highly intuitive, nurturing, emotional and compassionate. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and are generally more on the introverted side. I am definitely very intuitive- I tend to rely more on my intuition than on my practical or rational sense of judgement, although this can also mean that I make very quick and somewhat rash decisions! I immediately get a gut instinct when it comes to situations and make final decisions or choices based off of this. I am highly nurturing and family orientated. Cancers are usually known for being very sentimental people which I would agree with- that’s me. I associate all of my belongings with memories so hate parting with them! Us cancers are also very emotional people which I can relate to.
What part does spirituality play in your life and mean to you? I know you’re interested in number synchronicity, for example. Do you treat it as your religion and what would you consider an indicator that you’re on the right path to be?
For me personally, I consider Spirituality a gateway to finding a path that fully aligns with my values and self whilst also simultaneously becoming a master of my thoughts and conscious soul! I have been interested in the idea of spirituality and its’ concepts for a while now but I only began taking it seriously towards the end of last year! I would say that Spirituality has really helped me to find meaning, connectedness and purpose within my life and given me a much needed sense of peace and balance. I have incorporated many new practices and activities into my daily routine since beginning my journey with spirituality, including but not limited to: Waking up earlier, journaling more often, writing letters to the Universe, listening to self growth podcasts and counting my blessings more often. It has helped me to transform my mindset to see failure as a mere stepping stone to growth. I also feel much more attuned to the energies of nature.
I’ve most definitely taken an interest in number synchronicity more recently! I believe that once you start noticing these number trends, they will be endless and you won’t be able to stop seeing them – you’ll happen upon them everywhere and in unexpected places. I always seem to get a warm feeling of comfort when I spot an angel number as it’s like a little reminder or gentle reassurance that I’m headed in the right direction.
As for treating it like a religion, I don’t think I have a definite answer to that just yet. I’m a Christian and follow the Methodist Church as my personal form of religion. However, a few beliefs or perspectives that I have linking to Spirituality may contradict those that are followed in Christianity and vice versa. I believe that spirituality is present within religion so they’re not completely different things and quite intertwined and interconnected. Rather than being a specific set of organised beliefs and practices as with a religion, I consider Spirituality to be more of an individual and personal practice. Therefore, I’d say that I do treat Spirituality as my religion in the sense that I pray in the form of meditation and communicate with a ‘Greater, Omnipotent Being’ through my letters to the universe. But, on the other hand, my religion isn’t solely spiritual and I’m still very devoted to my Christian faith.
I believe that there are many different indicators that you’re on the right path! Here are a few incredible examples:
Repetitively seeing the number three! The energy of this number resonates with strong connections to the spiritual realm and the Universe. As well as representing the Holy Trinity and the third eye, it is also the energy of those who already have abundant faith and are living according to their spiritual calling. This number is often seen after completion of prayer or when using positive affirmations as a sign that your prayer has been heard and is in the process of being answered.
Perfect timing or lots of highly unusual coincidences. I don’t believe that there is such thing as a coincidence. Instead, everything happens for a reason so this is a great indication that the Universe trying to tell you something.
You feel motivated, excited and energised! You also feel at ease. Your sixth sense, otherwise known as your gut feeling or intuition will also let you know that you’re where you’re supposed to be. Beyond this, you’ll notice quality friendships beginning to form and blossom!
I see that you have a crystal collection- what are your favourite stones and what power do they have? Do you gravitate to the energy of any in particular?
Ah yes, crystals are the best! I would say that my favourites are Hematite, Lapis Lazuli and Rose Quartz! Hematite has very strong grounding energies and it’s quite heavy when you hold it in your hand. I really like this as it makes me feel stable and anchored. It is known to help with absorbing negative energy. Lapis Lazuli encourages self-awareness and creativity and aids in full self expression and communication. Meanwhile, Rose Quartz inspires compassion and positive energy, doubling to help in purifying and opening your heart to promote love, friendship & self care. I would say that I gravitate towards the energy of Rose Quartz or Snow Quartz as these are the first crystals that I ever owned. Clearly they hold a special place in my heart! I think I am deeply connected to Hematite as well. It makes me feel so calm and induces feelings of safety and comfort for me.
You’ve really blossomed since deciding to open up and share more of yourself- you’ve started a YouTube channel which is absolutely thriving and seemed to transition to a different personal style with your Instagram photos and outfits. What changed and allowed you to take a leap of faith? You definitely seem a lot more self assured and confident in your work!
I honestly believe that it was due to the massive support directed my way after the face reveal I share. Everyone’s love and support instilled in me a wealth of confidence, as cliche and repetitive as that may sound. It’s definitely true in my case. I couldn’t agree more- I am so much more self assured and comfortable now than I was back then. I know in my heart that I can be more real and honest with you all now that I’m fully myself and in my groove.
What goals are you committed to achieving this year and what does a normal day in your life look like?
I have quite a few goals I’d like to achieve this year! One of my main social media goals was to reach three thousand Instagram followers before the end of the year but I reached this last week which is crazy. It means the world to me and makes me so incredibly happy that people like my content! I hope to reach a thousand subscribers over on my YouTube channel and would like to start consistently posting on my blog again.
A few of my goals off of social media include passing my GCSE exams and settling into college. I start in September and I’m elated but slightly nervous at the same time. I’d also love to meet a few of my internet besties- fingers crossed that covid lets us. Another goal is to begin reading more as this is a huge passion of mine. With school and exams I haven’t had much time to devote to my books at the moment. I’d love to start reading everyday like I used to, even if only for ten minutes.

I loved reading this post, Maryam! Daisy is such an amazing content creator and I enjoyed how you asked such interesting and different questions! I actually know nothing about crystals, but it intrigues me how each one has a different like aura/energy and provides a certain abstract idea to people. I’ve also never thought about my philosophy on life, but I think Daisy’s answer will leave me wondering about my own philosophy in the next few days! This was such a lovely interview Maryam! I can’t wait for your next one! 🙂
Thank you so much for reading Manasa! I’m so glad to hear that. When I’m interviewing a content creator I like to delve deeper and figure out what talking points are most interesting or different in their life! Then there are more standard questions but everyone has a different take and approach to their answer.
I’ve had my own crystal collection for a couple of years and have felt their benefits firsthand. Not to mention, they’re quite beautiful and double as decor!
So happy you resonated with the post and are eagerly awaiting the next instalment! Hope you’re well, sending lots of love and light your way x
This was definitely an interesting interview! I only wish I could meet her in person to ask her some more in-depth questions about her faith as a Christian, and how that effects her life + view on some other things 😊
Law of Attraction is the way to live !! 💚
Thank you for this post, Maryam!
