For the first look I wore my navy fleece throw on from Cotton On. This is actually a pyjama top but a versatile one at that. I’ve worn it out a couple of times and no one was any the wiser. My bottoms are Riders from Miss Shop. They’re girlfriend style and down to the ankle but I prefer to roll them up as they look better that way. I’m not a fan of super long or tight pants so prefer mum jeans to skinny.
My gold and cream espadrilles are from Seed Heritage in Myer. I actually have another pair of these in baby blue with silver sparkles but they’re getting old. I wear them so much that I figured I was due for an update. They are the perfect slip on shoe for during the day and won’t irritate your heels or soles of the feet. They have a jute and rubber base for grip.
Lastly, there’s my gold bracelet from nineteen twenty nine jewellery that my nanna bought for me while we were on holiday in the Central Coast. It has the prettiest marble look gem in the middle. I chose to keep my hair loose and face framing.
Anyhow, isn’t this flowery backdrop pretty? I took this photoshoot to a gorgeous nature reserve near my house. It’s oriental with Chinese gardens and lush cherry blossom trees in the Spring. The birds were tweeting and chirping, the waterfall steady in its stream. Butterflies and bees circled the new buds springing forth. All of nature harmonious and at play in ways subtle and significant. Our ecosystems have this divine balance. So many songs in different tongues.
For this slightly dressier outfit, I wore my hair down but curled it slightly. I’d say it made a world of difference to how stylish this looked as my balayage popped more. You could see the difference in shades from dark brown to caramel.
My blouse is from Country Road. It has intricate cut outs at the top and subtle black beading across the front, sleeves and bottom. I may or may not have pinched it from my mum’s closet as she’s moved away from this style. It’s flowy and has just the right amount of drape.
My boots are from Cotton On but look fairly high end. They are faux leather with a gusset on the side. I got them on sale for fifteen dollars at quite the discount as they retailed for forty. I bought the size six and they were a perfect fit, roomy across and in the toe but secure still. They are comfortable even after a long walk which counts for a lot. I like to wear ankle socks to avoid blisters yet not suffocate my feet.
To finish off, I’ve got my rattan circle bag that I ordered online off of City Beach. It fits my everyday essentials and has a cloth lining. I’ll usually take along my wallet, phone, lip balm and perhaps a snack or two.
