I was absolutely delighted when Interior decorating brand Photowall reached out to me for the second time and asked if I’d be interested in a collaboration- I worked with them last year to transform my Minimalist and Scandinavian inspired room back when I was living full time at the apartment in Parramatta. Naturally, since having moved to the Blue Mountains and renovated, I was keen to get my hands on another print. I chose a sweet candid shot taken in Sydney’s Bicentennial Park. I am happiest amongst the flowers after all! You can see my luxe Bohemian and Moroccan style room here.
Photowall was born fifteen years ago after Swedish brothers Niklas and Charlie Johansson discovered a gap in the personalised wall art market. Making use of their shared technical strengths and passion for design, the idea to introduce digitally printed wallpaper came to fruition. In two thousand and six the brothers bought their first digital printing press and it all took off from there. Photowall has since focused on creating memorable, personalised moments through custom prints. They’ve offered my readers the discount code ‘maryamII25’ for twenty five percent off any product on their website. It will be valid for two months, expiring on the twenty seventh of October.
For those who’d rather chose from a preexisting library of art and illustration, there is an extensive range of wallpaper, canvas prints and more. Photowall are proud to feature new and upcoming designers, well known industry brands and cutting edge print makers who test the boundaries of imagination. The company is established in Stockholm, Sweden, with factories, offices and headquarters in Skarpnack. Photowall value innovation and see blank walls as giant canvases brimming with opportunity and potential. The beauty of digital printing is that you’re not limited in any way and can create to your heart’s content. If you can dream and envision it, you can do it. Photowall offer a unique service with their ability to customise orders to suit your ideal dimensions.
Your home tells the story of who you are or who you want to be. It reflects you, your likes and how you want to be seen by others. It’s a place where you feel safe and where you’ll spend most of your life. We believe that the walls of a room affect how we feel. That’s why our mission is to help people fill their walls with more than just a painted colour. Either you’ll find the perfect wall art for you in our collection or we’ll make it. With passion and attention to detail, it is our pleasure to help you transform your home to reflect your personality. Regardless of who you are and what you like, we think being personal makes life more fun.
On top of this, Photowall have a strong environmental focus that is considered across the production and delivery process. They do their part by ensuring products are made to order and no stock is left to waste away in warehouses, eventually contributing further to landfill. The printing ink used in their wallpapers contains no solvents or hazardous chemicals and is biodegradable. Meanwhile, any waste material from their processes is recycled by trusted company Hans Andersson Recycling AB. Photowall are committed to working hand in hand with Vi Agroforestry, a Swedish development organisation. Together they plant five thousand trees annually in the area surrounding Lake Victoria in East Africa. Vi Agroforestry also plant crops, a practice which helps return fertility to damaged land, stabilise the climate, improve water access and further the nutritional value of locally grown food. This helps farmer yields and increases family income. The trees planted serve a variety of purposes and provide firewood, lumber, animal fodder and fruit to local people.
