Soul Charging versus Soul Searching: Searching for your soul implies that it is not within you already and that you have to go out to find your intrinsic self. Challenge this notion!

Achieving wellness can often feel overwhelming. Living in the Information Age, we’re constantly bombarded with trends and ideas about what works and what doesn’t.

Sometimes we get given the opportunity to make a brave choice. A choice to surrender the things that have been great in exchange for greater. It’s here that a soulful, lovely, wholehearted boom boom heart out of the chest, tears on cheeks, I’m alive kind of passion lives. It lives just around the corner from surrender’s bend.

It’s okay to feel the feels. Feeling things doesn’t negate your hope or take away from your faith. It just means you are human, experiencing a rush of emotions. Your feelings can be powerful. Often times, they can awaken our spirits, showing us what to lean into and explore. They can lead to insight and understanding which can ultimately lead to something beautiful- change. So, don’t be afraid to acknowledge your feelings. Don’t brush them under the rug, thinking they are bad or shameful. Your feelings can be a divine voice that compels you to take action and create a sustainable future. Remember this- presence will always win out over perfection. When you don’t know what to do, when you don’t know what to say, when you don’t know which direction you’re supposed to go, form your purpose by asking for wise counsel. Then, carry it out using all the help you can get. This journey is messy. There is no rule book laying out ten steps to creating change and achieving greatness. So, give yourself permission to make mistakes and to remain open to learning along the way. What matters is your presence, not some unachievable perfection 🙌🏼

You’ve got to love yourself. You’ve got to wake up at six in the morning, brew your favourite tea or coffee and stare at the birds drowning in the darkness of the dawn. You’ve got to wait for the sunrise and marvel at the creator and his paintbrush, swirls and flecks of colour in swashes across the sky, heralding the beginning of a new day. You’ve got to sit next to the man or woman at the train station who is reading your favourite book and start a conversation. Ask those questions. Form those opinions. Pick up a new theory. See from a different perspective.

I am happy when I eat fresh fruit, when I burst out laughing, when I discover a new song, when I finish a good book, when I wake up and feel relaxed. I’m glad to have friends, family, a home, food when I’m hungry, hot water when I shower.
