Welcome to October’s @bellaboxaunz 🥰 they’ve well and truly welcomed the Spring season in with this range of gorgeous and fresh goodies! Here’s what I received this month! What would you try out first?

There is value in the full spectrum of days we will inevitably experience whether sooner or later. Understanding this value is how we cultivate gratitude, let peace reside in our hearts and know how to manage and recuperate after harder times. Good days provide memories that we can look back on.

We need to normalise starting over where needed and refuse to label situations in a black and white manner when they are neither innately good or bad. Let’s stop assigning so many labels and try and see things at face value for what they are and what they’ll mean moving forward. Beginning a new chapter can speak to your growth, healing. Sometimes it’s better to leave what is broken than to hurt ourselves trying to pick up the pieces.

Emotional consistency is the be all and end all in a relationship. Someone who is uncomfortable with and incapable of managing and responding to their own emotions won’t know how to deal with yours when they inevitably come up.

You have everything you need- believe it! Often times, as we journey to dreams come true, the need to have and be more can feel overwhelming. It’s not uncommon to feel as if you need finances, more time, stronger connections, better skills and a wealth of resources and influence in order to get to where you need to go.

Have you ever felt healthy love and are you even attracted to people who can offer it? Why the pattern of intense lust or gravitation towards people who are just no good and won’t compliment or add value to your life? But most of all, why does a relationship not working out with such people still feel like a loss rather than a gain?

Self care for different phases in my cycle- detox tea for cleansing with fennel and liquorice root + a calming pomegranate tisane. And for that time of the month? My Noha device from @ovira designed to smash stigma surrounding menstrual health and wellness. Pretty empowering if you ask me! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Life can be fulfilling at sixty five just as much as sixteen. Forty just as much as twenty five. Ultimately, this life of yours, of mine, is not limited to mere days or weeks or months or years. We are more than the hours we’ve seen. Learning how to make the most of where you are does not have an age cut off or deadline. You will always be able to sit and wonder about things that could have gone differently. You should always trust that you have not missed out on what is meant for you though.

Looking forward to many good eats in the not so distant future! This Nourish bowl from @sarahs_day at @blackwoodpantry in Cronulla combined the most exquisite flavours and textures. Truly tantalising and a treat for the taste buds. Just goes to show that health food can be far from boring.

One day you’re going to realise that happiness was never about you’re job, the achieving the highest degree or entering into a relationship. Happiness, the ultimate inner job, was never about following in the footsteps of those who came before you. It was never about keeping tradition, keeping the peace. Someone wise once said that keeping the peace around you can mean the ultimate sacrifice. A lack of peace inside of you. Happiness was never about being like the others.

Life is meant to be lived. You have to chase the things that ignite you, do the things that bring you insurmountable joy. You have to surround yourself with the people who bring you back home to yourself, who understand your essence. The people who respect and embrace you in ways that reassure you of just how loved, worthy, held and wanted you are. You have to do the work to heal yourself, even when it hurts. Perhaps especially so at this time. Why continue to approach your life within the boundaries of what is heavy within you?

When is the last time you reflected on the qualities your ideal romantic partner would possess or the traits that stand out to you most in the person you’re currently seeing? Having recently begun online dating for the first time, these are questions I’m asking myself.

There is such a novelty about receiving little surprises in the post. I’m definitely a big kid at heart- can’t help but get excited looking through and seeing what I’ve received. I remember ordering subscription boxes full of Japanese candies, plushies and kawaii stationery back in primary school.

The thing about healing is that it hurts, plain and simple. Sometimes even more than the original wound. Most people think healing is a matter of time. That there is a timeline in which the pain will cease and become minuscule or disappear completely. Others think you just shouldn’t bring it up, that giving it time, energy or thought only magnifies it. While that is partially true, we as people need to process, need to understand, need to know how we’ll move forward. What’s truly required is an active confrontation with yourself to get where you want to be.
